The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands, as the ministry responsible for co-organizing WPFC 2020, handles your personal data with the utmost care. Personal data is information that can be traced to an individual, such as names, postal addresses and email addresses. Personal data is protected under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). 

Processing of personal data

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of the Netherlands confirms that in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation it has taken all necessary measures to safeguard the personal data registered. Personal data will be retained no longer than is necessary for the purpose concerned or is required under the Public Records Act. Would you like to request more information? Or receive an info bulletin? If so, WPFC 2020 will need your personal details, such as your name and email address. (If you subscribe, please add us to your address book. You will receive our info bulletins no longer than 1 month after the conference).

The request form will state which details will be used by us, and for what purpose. We will use your personal data only for the purpose for which you submitted it. Moreover, the data will not be shared with external parties and only be used within The Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The personal data given will be destroyed within 3 months after the World Press Freedom Conference.
